Dr. Sophia da Silva-Oolup, HBSc.Kin, DC, FCCS (C)

Chiropractic Clinical Specialist, Medical Acupuncture Provider, Concussion Management and Custom Orthotic Provider

Dr. Sophia da Silva-Oolup is the Clinical Director of Kew Gardens Health Group.

Dr. Sophia da Silva-Oolup completed her Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2010, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2014. After graduating from CMCC, she completed the CMCC Graduate Clinical Sciences Residency program and became a Fellow of the College of Chiropractic Clinical Sciences (Canada) in 2017. Dr. da Silva-Oolup is the current President of the College of Chiropractic Clinical Sciences (Canada).

During her post-graduate training Dr. da Silva-Oolup engaged in interdisciplinary care in hospital placements at St. Michael’s, Mount Sinai and Hamilton General Hospital with Orthopaedic Surgeons, Rheumatologists and Neurologists. In addition, Dr. da Silva-Oolup has conducted research with World Spine Care with an interest in the global burden of disease and disability caused by musculoskeletal conditions in developing nations. Dr. da Silva-Oolup is a part-time faculty member at CMCC in the department of Clinical Diagnosis. She has presented at numerous international conferences and seminars.

Dr. da Silva-Oolup is also a certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology and an Exercise is Medicine Practitioner. She is certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, SHIFT Concussion Management Program, Active Release Technique and Webster Technique. In addition Dr. da Silva-Oolup received additional training in gait analysis and custom orthotics.

Dr. da Silva-Oolup is a certified Emergency First Responder and serves as Team Chiropractor for the Balmy Beach Rugby Club. She provides acute side-line care and in-office therapeutic rehabilitation for appropriate return to play following injury.

Dr. Brynne Billings, BSc Kin (Hons), DC

Chiropractor, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Provider

Dr. Brynne began her wellness journey at Dalhousie University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with honours and continued on to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College graduating with her Doctor of Chiropractic. She has completed McMaster University’s Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program.

She believes the most rewarding aspect of the chiropractic profession is true collaboration – by listening to patient concerns and designing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based methods including joint mobilizations/manipulations, soft tissue therapy, exercise prescription and more.

Each treatment plan is individualized to the patient and their comfort level. Your goals are her goals. She will earn your trust and is committed to your success.

In her spare time, Dr. Brynne enjoys attending group fitness classes, spending time at the cottage and travelling to new countries. Listening to podcasts is her favourite way to stay on top of the current research in the chiropractic field.

Dr. Brynne is a licensed chiropractor with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario (CCO), as well as a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association (OCA) and the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA).

Dr. Natalie Labelle, BA (Hons) Kin, DC, ICSSD

Chiropractor, International Chiropractic Sports Science Diplomat and Custom Orthotic Provider

 Dr. Natalie Labelle completed her Kinesiology Degree with Honours from the University of Western Ontario in 1996, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2000.  After graduating from CMCC, she completed her International Chiropractic Sports Science Diploma through the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic in 2007.

She is also full body certified in Active Release Technique, a Graston Instrument-assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization Provider and has had additional training in running biomechanics and gait analysis as well as custom orthotic prescription.

Dr. Labelle has been a part-time faculty member at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College for the last 10 years in the Department of Chiropractic Therapeutics.   The role of this department is to instruct students in the development of manual therapy skills involved in chiropractic treatment such as palpation, soft tissue therapy and chiropractic manipulations/adjustments.

Dr Labelle is an avid runner and four-time marathoner who is currently in training for the Chicago Marathon. She has a special interest in running and athletic injuries.  She was the Team Chiropractor for the Toronto FCOF soccer team for many years and has had the privilege to work with active (or aspiring to be more active) people of all ages and levels of competition, from weekend warriors to Olympians.

Dr. Judith Wells, BSc, DC, RMT

Chiropractor, Acupuncture Provider and Registered Massage Therapist

Dr. Judith Wells has a Bachelor Degree in Physical Health and Education from the University of Toronto, and a Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. She has an Athletic Therapy certification from York University and practices as Registered Massage Therapist. She has been the team therapist for many Varsity and Provincial level sports teams including Soccer, Hockey, Football, Rugby, Field Hockey, Track/Cross Country, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball. She has a wide range of experience with athletic injuries as well as a strong focus on pre and post-natal care.

Dr. Wells is a former Beach Volleyball Provincial Tour Athlete and has also competed for the University of Toronto Track and Field and York University Women’s Volleyball teams.
