Naturopathic Medicine is a distinct primary health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. Naturopathic medicine is the art and science of disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention using natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation, traditional Chinese medicine / acupuncture, and lifestyle counseling.

Naturopathic doctors can also complement and enhance health care services provided by other health care professionals. They cooperate with other branches of medical science referring patients to other practitioners for diagnosis or treatment when appropriate. Naturopathic Doctors provide patients with a truly integrative form of health care.

Dr. Stephanie Trgachef B.Kin, ND

Dr. Stephanie Trgachef is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor (2019) with a bachelor degree in Kinesiology with Honours from the University of Toronto (2015). She has a Therapeutics & Prescribing license for Naturopathic Doctors, allowing her to prescribe high dose vitamins and minerals, female hormones, desiccated thyroid medication and provide her patients with injection therapy. She believes in a systems based approach to care, meaning that each individual’s particular health dysfunction is unique. For example, two people may both have a diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome, but the underlying cause for one individual may be a heightened sympathetic nervous system response, and the other’s cause may be a heightened immune response to particular foods. This can be determined through physical examination, a thorough health history, and advanced comprehensive testing.Treatment plan may be inclusive of lifestyle and diet modification, natural health products, referral to injection and/or intravenous therapy, advanced testing, education, hormone therapy, acupuncture, and natural health products (vitamins, minerals, botanicals).

Particular areas of interests include: Female hormones, psychological disturbances and gastrointestinal health.
