Madhvi is a Sutherland-Chan graduate who also holds an Hon Bsc. From U of Toronto, is a certified yoga instructor and utilizes acupuncture, cupping and myofascial therapies in her practice. She believes that combining knowledge from a scientific model with an integrative, complementary framework allows us to truly speak to our health journey.
This is her approach to treatment:
Our bodies move and change constantly; they change as our seasons change, they change daily as we dance between the stressors and joys of life. These transitions sometimes can challenge our innate adaptive abilities, especially when life becomes hectic and there’s hardly space for rest. When we work together, you and I create the space necessary for your body, nervous system and breath to align with ease and grace. Within this foundation of safety and trust, your body awareness improves and your mind is able to tap into a truth that guides you into the next stages of your wellbeing. I refer to this moment of pause as ‘a liminal space’ - an in-between phase of the old and new, past and present, present and future - where all possibilities exist because you have given your adaptive multi-system (autonomic nervous system) a moment to catch up with and align to your daily and often busy lifestyle. I believe in a practice that is customized to meet you where you are in any given day, acknowledging your health is physical, mental, emotional and spiritual (an integrated system). I believe in supporting your circle of care and walking alongside your journey towards the path you envision for yourself. I have worked in hospital and clinical settings with palliative care, concussion care and post surgical recovery as well as in private practice for pre/postnatal support, autoimmune conditions and general somatic support. I am currently doing some personal extended research around women’s health, specifically perimenopause and menopause. I am grateful and excited to create within this liminal space with you.
Madhvi has a passion for learning and is fascinated by human consciousness and neuroscience as well as where true human potential lies when spirit and matter connect. She feels deeply for community and is forever seeking ways to contribute to sustainable community development within a healthcare framework led by a justice and equity lens. Coffee, hiking in nature and adventuring with her 5 year old and husband bring her joy.
